Immoweek gives the floor to Maud Caubet: The Afterwards

“When we modify our direct environment, it is our living conditions that we change. Let us think of architecture, cities and their ecosystems in that awareness and humility that will positively nourish our creativity.”

What will the world of tomorrow be made of? Thanks to Immoweek for soliciting Maud Caubet’s point of view. Let’s make room for humility, humanity and action for the best resilience.

MAUD CAUBET ANSWERS ARCHITECTURE D’AUJOURD’HUI QUESTIONS FOR THE CONFINE.E.S SERIES

Crossed views on the world of tomorrow, new architectural practices, new ways of working, new ways of thinking… Maud Caubet had the pleasure to answer the question of AA Architecture d’Aujourd’hui magazine.

Faced with the lockdown imposed for everyone to limit the Coronavirus spread, many architects had to adapt their practice and work methods to this new rhythm of life. The “Confiné.e.s” series gives them a voice, by questioning them on their vision of the situation but also their cultural recommendations.

Thanks to Architecture d’Aujourd’hui magazine !

MAUD CAUBET BRINGS POESY VITALITY AND FRESHNESS TO L’OREAL HEADQUARTERS

Ambassador of the Group’s image, the new reception of L’Oréal headquarters set to Levallois-Perret has to embody the dynamism, the vitality and the creativity of the prestigious firm.

Thus, Maud Caubet imagined a place bringing the creative boil, know-how and values of the Group to each employee and visitor, a place of experience(s) being at the same time ajustable and soothing, that everybody can absorb.
Maud Caubet explains “Our approach was motivated by the desire to surprise visitors with a magical, sharp and flexible atmosphere, that will project them to the future of L’Oréal, while thinking at what the architecture of the place could bring to the employees well-being. As an example, we have imagined a poetic movement with a rain of flowers welcoming visitors and employees. This rain leads to relaxation and discovery, two key elements to start a day or a meeting in a better way !”.

MAUD CAUBET AND EXCEPTION AWARDED BY DUO@WORK

On September 26, the jury of the Duo@Work Prize awarded us wit the Special Mention Award  for its communicating, interactive and autonomous facade, the result of a beautiful collaboration with Exception for LiVE, winner project of Inventing Greater Paris in Bagnolet. This prize highlights our will to innovate in architecture and thus to build new relationships with buildings.

Combining social inclusion, fashion cultural influence, digital and image, LiVE spreads the creative spirit of the territory, invites to exchange and discovery, gives a new metropolitan signal thanks to its location and its facade. Composed of about 335 communicating scales, this facade wakes up the time of dawn and sunrise extending over the 35 m wide and 25 m height of the building.

Thank you to the jury, Exception and our partners Vinci Immobilier, OASIIS, Ingérop and Arcora!

Publication of the Special Edition The Architecture of Today

The magazine L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui dedicates to us this month an exceptional Hors-Série.
A great opportunity to present our optimistic vision of an architecture that erases boundaries of disciplines and fully integrates chronotopy. It talks about five-dimensional architecture, commitment, new harmony in architecture… and presents projects that for some have never been presented. Many thanks to Catarina Grosso, Anastasia de Villepin and Thomas Jacques, as well as to Christelle Granja, Gilles Boeuf, Romain Lecoq and Les Grandes Idées for their contribution to this great achievement.

A rehabilitation project : the “Sheds” in Pantin

The famous “Sheds” located at the entrance of Pantin are all that remains of the activity of the former Cartier-Bresson spinning factories. While preserving the authenticity of a manufacturing architecture with an exceptional heritage character, the buildings renovation operated by the agency gives the site a new, intriguing and mysterious appearance. Open on the Diderot park, the “Sheds” will host artistic and cultural activities on the one hand, and a space dedicated to early childhood activities on the other hand.

“The black brick skin of the facades creates a mysterious contrast in the park, inviting passers-by to get close to the large picture windows and to be caught by the amount of activities offered.” explains Maud Caubet

NEW INTERIORS FOR THE INITIAL TOWER IN LA DEFENSE

Commissioned by the asset manager and investors AEW Ciloger, Maud Caubet Architects have been in charge of the interior architecture of the Initial Tower. First highest building constructed in La Défense, the Initial Tower is protected by a glass shell originally designed by the French architect Jean Prouvé. The 14 floors of the new AEW Tower are now equipped with a restaurant and cafeteria on the ground floor, fitness and wellness spaces, a panoramic floor with a panel of services such as a coworking area, a restaurant, a coffee and spacious and bright offices.

“We thought these common spaces as living areas where people can share collective and human times. By designing qualitative spaces, “haute-couture” and by giving glass and metal an essential place in our concepts, we pay a tribute to Jean Prouvé, who was the first French Architect to use the curved glass to design the facade of the building.” explains Maud Caubet.

Delivery of spaces is planned for the 3rd trimester of 2019.
