Nine municipalities of the Seine-Saint-Denis département decided to come together as a conurbation community to work on a joint design for the future of the area to the east of Paris. For this political architecture, Maud Caubet Architectes uses seating to define the distribution and roles of each person in the different areas: one must host 100 elected representatives for discussions, while the other must receive the public. The two areas dialogue through layers of screens.
