Small houses at the bottom of the impasse

Architecture springs from the study of urban regulation, and this project is proof. Jutting horizontal shapes are roughly positioned and locked-in like a Tetris game in the rigid framework of the city. The signature of each house is found in a colour code of either light, bleached or darkened oak. All have large sashed windows to let in light and offer views of the city. Wood panelling on the jutting becomes guard rails and combines with the green façade to reflect an intimate look at nature from the street.
